Job summary

Lodging Dynamics is seeking a Cook in Seattle to organize, prepare, and cook all food items for banquets and restaurant meals. The role covers station setup, timely preparation, and ensuring quality and presentation standards.

You will rotate perishables, monitor temperatures, and assist in expediting during busy periods while maintaining sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in food preparation.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations and safety measures.
• Ability to communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
• Set up stations required to service all banquet functions and menu items.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to over-prepare.
• Date and rotate perishables, maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use and assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to storage, cover and date perishables.
• Inspect food for taste, temperature, and eye appeal; act as expeditor during peak times.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, and equipment.
• Submit requisitions for staple items to Executive or Sous Chef.
• Adhere to sanitation standards and proper rotation practices to reduce spoilage.
• Follow recipes and food pictures for consistency.
