Job summary

SSP America is hiring Line Cooks for Mad Town Gastropub inside the Madison Regional Airport in Wisconsin. We offer $19.00 per hour with full-time or part-time shifts, free meals each shift, and PTO.

Immediate hiring and opportunities for advancement are available as you join a team focused on quality and speed in a busy airport kitchen. Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining station setup, stocking supplies, rotating perishables, and ensuring health standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year line cook experience in a restaurant.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and team.
• Basic math skills for order accuracy and portioning.
• Ability to stand and work in a kitchen for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present items.
• Maintain proper setup of the kitchen/station daily.
• Requisition and stock all required food, paper products, and condiments.
• Handle, store, and rotate all products properly.
• Set up, maintain, clean, and break down equipment as needed.
• Maintain stock and storage of perishables to ensure quality.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.
• Ensure quality of products served.
• Perform cleaning tasks per supervisor's instructions to meet health standards.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

We are currently hiring for Line Cooks to work at Mad Town Gastropub, located inside the Madison Regional Airport.

• Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Line CookFollow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered itemsMaintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station on a daily basisRequisitioning and stocking of all required food, paper products, and condimentsHandles, stores, and rotates all products properlyResponsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of any machinery and equipmentResponsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product qualityComplete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as requiredTakes responsibility for quality of products servedPerform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standardsOther duties as assigned
