Job summary

Mad Town Gastropub, located inside the Madison Regional Airport, is hiring line cooks at $19.00 per hour with full-time or part-time shifts. A free meal every shift, PTO, and immediate hiring are highlighted benefits.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining kitchen setup, stocking, and ensuring quality and sanitation across the station. Applicants must be at least 18 years old with good English communication and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 1 year line cook experience in a restaurant.
• Verbal and written communication are essential for guest interactions and orders.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and portion control to prepare, garnish, and present items.
• Maintain setup of the kitchen station daily and stock requisitioning.
• Rotate and store products properly; ensure quality of perishables daily.
• Set up, maintain, clean, and breakdown machinery and equipment as required.
• Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists and participate in general cleaning tasks.
• Ensure health standards and proper sanitation in all duties.

We are currently hiring for Line Cooks to work at Mad Town Gastropub, located inside the Madison Regional Airport.

• Here are a few things you can expect when you join our team as a Line CookFollow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered itemsMaintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station on a daily basisRequisitioning and stocking of all required food, paper products, and condimentsHandles, stores, and rotates all products properlyResponsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of any machinery and equipmentResponsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product qualityComplete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as requiredTakes responsibility for quality of products servedPerform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standardsOther duties as assigned
