Cook II Position | Line Cook Role Description:

The line cook for the Specialty Floor Exhibition Kitchen is responsible for producing and executing savory and pastry items with team members for various experiences.

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to: deliver world-class service to guests and employees; partner internally with other culinary team members, events teams, facility teams, internal business units, and partner organizations. Contribute to an energetic, engaging, and upbeat work environment, maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

  • To receive, prep, produce, execute, and serve food for events that the team is in charge of or participating in
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient work environment through proper rotation, labeling, storage, clean stations, and regular deep cleaning
  • Comply with applicable sanitary, health, personal hygiene, and safety standards set by health departments, supervisors, and the company
  • Help set the standard for the quality and freshness of ingredients and products
  • Source, acquire, and deliver produce from local markets and farms
  • Focus on minimizing waste and utilizing ingredients sustainably
  • Respect all ingredients and equipment
  • Keep budget and food costs in mind when creating dishes
  • Drive creativity with ideas, motivation, and inspiration regarding dishes, trends, and team
  • Coordinate with the team regarding product ordering and station responsibilities
  • Use time efficiently while planning meetings, prep, events, and administrative tasks
  • Document recipes for produced items and create engagement recipes for employees
  • Maintain a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
  • Work accurately and efficiently while executing tasks
  • Create memorable and authentic guest experiences
  • Bring authenticity and engagement to the team
  • Support and respect team members, embracing diversity and core values
  • Contribute to building the brand and educating the team
  • Stay updated with technology and new working methods
  • Complete required corporate training
  • Be punctual for meetings, events, and work shifts, dressed professionally or in uniform
  • Assist in creating memorable food experiences for special events and overcome obstacles
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
  • At least 4 years of experience in food and beverage, with knowledge of various service styles from fine dining to casual
  • Flexible schedule, typically 9-5, with some evenings and rare weekends
  • Excellent guest engagement skills, anticipating needs
  • High attention to detail in spaces, interactions, and event readiness
  • Understanding of company standards and high-quality experience creation
  • Ability to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling requirements
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to stand for up to 8+ hours and lift up to 35 pounds regularly, 40 pounds occasionally
  • Commitment to continuous skill development in culinary crafts
  • Ability to adapt quickly and refocus efforts
  • Current local foodservice certifications

Compensation: Hourly ($30)
