With over 200 locations throughout China, Grandma's Home is expanding to NYC, starting with our first location in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan, opening in March 2024. We provide delicious Chinese cuisine in a comfortable setting.

Job Summary

1. The Line Cook follows recipes and prepares dishes efficiently and consistently.
2. Works with the kitchen team to maintain proper food handling practices, ensuring each dish is perfect.
3. Sets up Mise en Place stations for service.
4. Checks the quality of prepared and cooked food, rejecting incorrect dishes.
5. Prepares necessary ingredients for dishes.
6. Maintains cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
7. Ensures proper usage of equipment and tools.
8. Adheres to safety and care standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience in Chinese cuisine.
• Previous experience as a cook, line cook, or wok chef.
• Proficient in proper DOH food handling practices.
• Understanding of wok cooking techniques.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mandarin Chinese fluency is a plus but not required.
