To support our growing events team, we are looking for a Line Cook responsible for food preparation in accordance with recipes and internal direction for events. This is a non-benefited On-Call position.

You will be successful in this role while performing these essential responsibilities:

  • Maintain the kitchen and related areas in a clean and organized manner.
  • Actively maintain a thorough knowledge of menus and kitchen functions.
  • Responsible for the prep of ingredients to support menu specifications of assigned dishes. Including the stocking and setting up of their station with necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food ensuring they cooked to the correct temperature and doneness.
  • Responsible to follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the chef and other kitchen staff.
  • Keep products clearly labeled, dated, and rotated.
  • Identify ways to decrease waste and increase efficiency.
  • All other duties as assigned.

You will be qualified for this role if you meet these requirements:
  • Previous experience of 1 to 2 years in a similar role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Training in the culinary arts.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a highly functioning team.
  • Strong organizational skills, a passion for food, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the predominately used language.
  • Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and ascend and descend stairs.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
