Job Description

Omni PGA Frisco Resort is seeking an experienced and creative Line Cook 3 AM | Trick Rider to join our team. The resort will feature 127,000 square feet of event space, 13 new food and beverage outlets, a luxurious spa, and a full entertainment district. With two championship 18-hole golf courses and a third short course, we offer excellent options for dining, events, and entertainment for our guests and the local community.

The Line Cook 3 is responsible for preparing all food items in a timely manner according to menu specifications and working effectively with the kitchen team.

Responsibilities
  • Efficiently prepare all food items as directed by supervisor and according to company standards, with minimal supervision.
  • Apply knowledge of culinary fundamentals and techniques.
  • Work on an outlet hot/cold line, executing menu items within specified timelines.
  • Stay organized with prep sheets and station guides, managing your own timeline.
  • Use culinary equipment properly and safely.
  • Present plates that meet specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, especially in stressful situations.
  • Attend monthly department meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Work efficiently on a restaurant line.
  • Possess basic knife skills and knowledge of vegetable cuts.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of culinary experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of weights and measures.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Food Handlers certification (or obtain upon hire).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Culinary degree or formal training preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry moderate weights.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with frequent bending and twisting.
  • Proficiency with culinary tools and sensory skills (taste and smell).
