Job summary

Johnny Carino's in Meridian, Idaho is seeking a hardworking line cook to join a fast-paced kitchen. You will read orders, prepare menu items to recipe specs, and work with high-volume equipment to ensure timely service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to Johnny Carino's recipes, plate presentations and specifications within cook time requirements.
• Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by Guest and prepare and cook food according to instructions.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, and dishwashers.
• Complete all assigned prep work.
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times.
• Set up work station.
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects.
• Be a core team member in a fast-paced kitchen.

Physical Demands:

• Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 50 pounds in weight
• Ability to place plates, utensils, pans and cases on high and low shelves
• Mobility required during the entire shift
• Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to eight (8) hours in length
