Job Summary

Cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products, and prepare and portion food prior to cooking. Perform duties in food and final plate preparation, including plating, garnishing, and preparing garnishes for hot menu items.

Kitchen Manager

Activities & Responsibilities
  1. Promote and act in accordance with the mission of Legacy Restaurant and its affiliates to provide a unique and extraordinary experience to guests and team members.
  2. Maintain food preparation areas to ensure safety and sanitation.
  3. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures.
  4. Check food quality, rotate stock, and ensure freshness.
  5. Follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and kitchen policies.
  6. Ensure product quality and support smooth service by stocking and maintaining sufficient food levels.
  7. Handle, store, and rotate food products per policies.
  8. Cook foods evenly, season, and serve according to recipes and standards.
  9. Prepare ingredients, carve meats, and assist in food prep during off-peak hours.
  10. Assist during emergencies or rush periods and close the kitchen following procedures.
  11. Attend meetings and collaborate with team members.
Supplemental Responsibilities
  • Assist in menu planning and record keeping.
  • Estimate food needs and procure supplies.
  • Butcher and prepare meats and seafood as needed.

  • Commercial kitchen equipment (blenders, ovens, slicers, etc.)
  • Cutlery and machinery
  • Food safety and inventory software
  • Point of sale systems and software
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of kitchen preparation and cooking experience.
  • Minimum 6 months in a similar role.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work standing for long periods.
