Job summary

The Wooden Spoon Cafe and Bakery in Denver's Highland neighborhood seeks a friendly team member to join their breakfast and pastry-focused team. You will welcome guests, prepare sandwiches, quiche, and morning pastries to the cafe's high standards, operate the flat top and ticketing system, and ensure the pastry case and service area stay clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with friendly, genuine hospitality.
• Prepare sandwiches, quiche, and breakfast pastries to company standards.
• Operate flat top and ticket printer system.
• Restock displays, beverages, and supplies throughout the shift.
• Deliver food to guests accurately.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for new guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized back of house and pastry case.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning as needed; keep workspace orderly.
• Support teammates and assist with opening and closing duties.

The Wooden Spoon Cafe and Bakery is a beloved neighborhood staple located in Denver's vibrant highland neighborhood. It is celebrated for its cozy morning vibes, warm hospitality and exceptional scratch made pastries.

In year 1 earn between $22–$28* per hour on average (with tips included). Wages go higher from there based on tenure and proficiency.

*Base wage of $16.27/hour plus tips through a tip pool system. Tips are shared across the team and added to your hourly pay

Key Responsibilities:
