Job summary

Root Down in Denver is seeking an energetic server to join our farm-centric, globally influenced dining team. Prior service experience is preferred and OpenTable familiarity is a plus.

Open availability including nights and weekends is expected as we deliver a standout guest experience. You will thrive in a collaborative, high-energy environment, contribute to guest experiences, and help maintain high standards of food handling and service with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous service industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Some background in customer service is required.
• Ideal candidate will have experience with OpenTable or managing guests over the phone.
• Desire and ability to learn and work multiple positions over time.
• Flexible in changing and fluid service environments with guest expectations.
• Committed to sustainable waste practices.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
• Brings energy and a positive attitude.
• Works well collaboratively and independently.

Description

An OG of the modern Denver dining scene, Root Down’s farm-centric menu features eclectic, globally-influenced seasonal cuisine, with a focus on organic and locally-sourced ingredients. Perfect for a bite in the neighborhood or a signature dining experience, our space is both cozy and sophisticated, with vintage touches and a large, 4-season patio with views of the Denver skyline.

In year 1 earn between $25–$27* per hour on average ( with tips included). Wages go higher from there based on tenure and proficiency.

*Base wage of $19.29/hour plus tips through a tip pool system. Tips are shared across the team and added to your hourly pay
