Job summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking a Tree Trimmer responsible for pruning and removing trees and limbs to prevent vegetation interference with power lines. The role involves climbing, using a variety of equipment, and performing ground work with hand tools to maintain tree health and appearance.

The position requires adherence to safety practices, familiarity with ANSI standards, and the ability to operate near energized conductors. Training and potential supervision of non-qualified staff may apply.

Qualifications

• Has a minimum of 3 months of experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews or has completed applicable skills assessments.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicles and equipment with manageable size limbs and logs not suited for wood chipping.
• Trims, removes and/or fells trees using climbing equipment and tools.
• Works on the ground using hand saws, pruners, or other applicable tools.
• Cuts branches overhead and lowers them with rigging lines.
• Ensures safety around energized power lines and assists in training non-qualified staff.
