Job summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking a Tree Trimmer to prune and remove vegetation near power lines, using climbing equipment and a range of hand and power tools. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to ANSI and OSHA standards, and careful coordination with crew members to protect the public and infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have basic tree knowledge, the ability to read circuit maps, and experience with PPE and routine vehicle/equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of trees and arboricultural techniques near energized conductors.
Familiarity with ANSI Z133.1 and ANSI A300 standards.
Understanding OSHA electrical safety standards (29 CFR 1910.269).
Ability to learn and follow safety instructions and company policies.
Ability to read circuit maps and use insulated tools near live parts.

Responsibilities

Load vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs; trim and remove trees near power lines.
Climb using appropriate equipment to prune, trim, or fell trees and lower them safely.
Operate hand and power tools for ground and elevated work.
Use rigging lines to control debris and direct disposal or chipping.
Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections; report needs to supervisor.
Maintain safety records and comply with OSHA and company policies.
