Job summary

The Tree Trimmer role at Wright Tree Service involves pruning and removing trees and limbs away from power lines to reduce vegetation interference. You will use climbing equipment and ground tools to perform basic tree maintenance while addressing growth patterns and maintaining tree health and appearance.

Overtime and emergency travel may be required; safety training in OSHA standards is emphasized to protect team members and the public.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of tree trimming or clearing crew experience.
• Valid First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Willing to work overtime, holidays and storm duty as needed.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs not suited for wood chipping.
• Trim, remove and/or fell trees near power lines using climbing equipment.
• Work on the ground with hand saws, pruners, and other tools.
• Work aloft to cut branches and lower them safely with rigging lines.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations; educate others as needed.
• Assist with vehicle and equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
