Job summary

Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domain Lead (LIMS) in Cellular Pathology to lead the design and implementation of Clinisys LIMS as part of the ePATH digital transformation. The role demands NHS cellular pathology experience, project leadership, and a proactive approach to innovation.

The post is a 24-month fixed-term opportunity with potential secondments, supporting cross‑functional collaboration and regional/NHS trust integration across pathology services.

Qualifications

• Be educated to masters level or equivalent level of qualification or experience e.g. IT, Business, Health or have extensive relevant experience
• Desirable criteria include IBMS Approved BSc (Hons) or MSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent experience
• State Registration (HCPC) and PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent experience in leading projects and change initiatives
• Proven analytical/problem solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Design, testing, implementation and integration of the Clinisys LIMS and related digital solutions
• Coordinate technical and scientific oversight of the proposed design
• Support quality and compliance requirements for the LIMS and regional collaboration
• Train and support staff through implementation and change management
