Job summary

Cornerstone Residential is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the Property Manager with operations, leasing activity, renewals, collections, and financial reporting at an assigned residential property. LIHTC experience is required.

The role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, responding to resident concerns, coordinating move-ins, and assisting with maintenance and marketing efforts to optimize occupancy and income.

Qualifications

• Two years of LIHTC property management experience.
• Experience with One-Site or similar property management software.
• Must have reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• LIHTC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Record and deposit all monies daily with proper bookkeeping.
• Respond promptly to resident concerns and inquiries.
• Prepare move-in paperwork, keys, and remotes for new residents.
• Inspect make-ready apartments prior to move-in.
• Maintain renewal programs to encourage resident retention.
• Assist with maintenance management and timely work orders.
• Monitor utility usage on the property.
• Manage rent collection and posted charges daily.
• Issue proper legal notices and attend related court hearings.
• Create and monitor marketing activities to improve occupancy.
• Support property operations as needed.
