Housing Alexandria seeks a LIHTC Leasing Specialist to prepare and audit rental applications and resident files for LIHTC compliance. You will implement resident acquisition strategies, recertifications, and audits, reporting to the Regional Resident Engagement lead.

The role emphasizes organization, regulatory knowledge, and proactive communication. The position covers on‑site leasing activities, tours, application processing, renewals, and SOP implementation, with a focus on Fair Housing and

Qualifications

• LIHTC and affordable housing leasing experience.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance.
• Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure leasing, renewal, and reports comply with LIHTC, Fair Housing, and Affordable Housing laws.
• Screen applicants for eligibility and collect required documentation.
• Prepare income certifications for third party review.
• Maintain leases and compliance reports; audit resident files.
• Assist in property inspections and file audits.
• Support SOPs for leasing activities and maintain Entrata data.
• Assist with tours, applications, move‑in coordination, and renewals.
• Contribute to training, reporting, and resident satisfaction analyses.
