Job summary

Walker & Dunlop Affordable Equity Asset Management is seeking an Asset Manager to maximize asset values across LIHTC portfolios. You will supervise third-party management, perform financial analyses, budgets, and tax reviews, and maintain relationships with developers and partners.

The role involves overseeing period-end reporting, underwriting collaboration, and strategic workouts, with in-person hours 8:30–5:30 Tue–Thu and remote Mondays/Fridays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in affordable housing asset management, LIHTC portfolios.
• Strong real estate operations, financial analysis, budgeting and reporting.
• Experience managing financial performance across a portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Acquisitions during underwriting to evaluate operating performance.
• Assess deal structure, risk, and investment viability.
• Manage financial and operational performance of LIHTC portfolio.
• Review monthly management reports and KPIs (vacancy, delinquencies, budget variances).
• Analyze budgets, quarterly statements, audited financials, and tax returns.
• Monitor construction, lease-up, and compliance with LIHTC requirements.
• Prepare investor reports and presentations for Senior Management.
• Support refinancing, dispositions, and workouts when needed.
