Job summary

Walker & Dunlop seeks an Asset Manager for Affordable Equity in Denver to maximize asset values across LIHTC portfolios. You will supervise financial performance, budgeting, and reporting, coordinating with third-party managers and developers to maintain compliance and value.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in affordable housing asset management, with strong analytical and communication skills and proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and real estate operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of affordable housing asset management experience.
• Strong background in real estate operations, financial analysis, budgeting, reporting.
• Experience managing financial performance across a portfolio of properties.
• Workout and restructuring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Acquisitions during underwriting to evaluate operating performance and market data.
• Assess deal structure, risk exposure, and investment viability.
• Manage the financial and operational performance of a LIHTC portfolio.
• Review monthly reports and evaluate KPIs like vacancy and variances.
• Analyze budgets, quarterly financials, and tax returns.
• Monitor construction, lease-up, and compliance with Section 42.
• Prepare investor reports and present to Senior Management.
• Attendance 8:30am–5:30pm local time Tue–Thu; remote Mon & Fri.
