Job summary

Walker & Dunlop is seeking an Asset Manager for Affordable Housing to maximize asset values across LIHTC properties. You will oversee performance, coordinate with third‑party managers, and analyze budgets and annual filings.

The role requires strong analytical skills, real estate finance knowledge, and excellent communication to Senior Management and partners. Hybrid work with a base salary around market norms is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of affordable housing asset management experience, LIHTC portfolio focus.
• Strong background in real estate operations, financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and monitor operating performance and investment viability across LIHTC portfolios.
• Review budgets, financial statements, and K-1 tax returns; track KPIs like vacancy and delinquencies.
• Manage relationships with general partners and third‑party management firms to optimize value.
• Coordinate equity installments, cash distributions, and maintain portfolio data integrity.
