Job summary

MeeDerby in Troy, MI is seeking a Selling Branch Manager – Staffing (Light Industrial) to launch a new market, drive revenue growth, and lead branch operations. You will hire and develop recruiters, build client relationships, negotiate staffing agreements, and manage profitability.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in staffing sales in the automotive sector, strong leadership, and a proven ability to lead teams while maintaining a top-tier candidate experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of staffing sales experience with concentration in the automotive industry.
• Proven ability to win new business and grow/retain client relationships
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop recruiters and branch teams
• Strong organizational skills and sound judgment in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
• Excellent communication skills across phone, in-person meetings, and presentations
• Confidence negotiating pricing/terms and managing a consistent, trackable pipeline
• Working knowledge of ATS/CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Launch a new market focusing on revenue growth, gross margin, and profitability.
• Develop and execute a sales strategy to hit monthly/quarterly targets.
• Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, prospecting, and community involvement.
• Lead client meetings, facility tours, staffing consultations, and presentations to expand relationships.
• Negotiate staffing agreements and pricing while protecting profitability.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and deliver on sales activity and outcomes.
• Lead day-to-day branch operations and foster accountability, urgency, and customer service.
• Hire, coach, and develop recruiters and branch staff; set goals and conduct performance check-ins.
• Monitor branch KPIs (fill rates, productivity, customer satisfaction, margin) and take action as needed.
• Partner with recruiters on high-volume light industrial hiring strategies; assist as needed to fill urgent roles.
• Ensure timely delivery of qualified talent and a strong candidate experience through onboarding and assignment.
• Ensure accurate billing, payroll, and reporting processes.
• Maintain compliance with employment regulations; promote a safety-first culture aligned with OSHA/workers’ comp/client safety programs
