Lithia & Driveway is hiring a Light Duty Technician for our St. Paul, MN location.

This full-time, onsite role offers flat-rate pay and a potential production bonus, with typical duties including diagnosing and repairing vehicles to Lithia standards while maintaining safety and quality. Key requirements include 1+ year in automotive repair, suspension/alignment experience, ASE and manufacturer certifications, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of automotive repair experience and ASE/manufacturer certifications.
• Suspension and alignment experience required.
• Knowledge of German vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive repairs and service per store and factory standards.
• Diagnose malfunctions and ensure safety requirements are met.
• Road-test vehicles and document work on repair orders.

Our Light Duty Technicians report to the Service Manager and is an onsite position at St. Paul Minnesota.What You'll DoThe Light Duty Technician is responsible for swiftly and accurately performing automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.Diagnose the cause of malfunction.Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.Document work performed on repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures.Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanic's tools.Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.What You'll Bring1 or more years of Suspension and alignment experience1 or more years of Automotive repair experienceASE and manufacturer certificationA team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.Knowledge of German vehiclesAcceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residenceTotal RewardsThis is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which include Flat Rate: $17.00- $30/ + production bonusActual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location.
