BMW of Minnetonka, part of Lithia Motors, is hiring a Journeyman Technician to perform automotive repairs and service in line with shop and factory standards. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, road-test vehicles, and document results while maintaining safety and quality.

The role offers a flat-rate hourly pay range of $30.17–$32.17, with incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should have a high school diploma and automotive training, plus a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive tech training or certifications preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive systems and components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs per repair orders.
• Complete work according to Lithia and manufacturer standards and safety rules.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repairs.
• Document time, procedures, and results on the repair order and test records.
• Return vehicles to customers clean and in good condition.
• Acquire and maintain ASE certifications through required training.
• Review technical bulletins and communicate with dealership staff as needed.
• Report safety or integrity concerns to management.

This individual utilizes their skills to diagnose and resolve the different sources of automotive problems swiftly and accurately.
