Vail Resorts in Ludlow, Vermont is seeking an Assistant Manager of Lift Experience to lead the Lift Experience team, ensure guest and employee satisfaction, and coordinate with Mountain Operations to maintain safety culture.

You will oversee staff, ropeway systems, and conveyors, drive training, maintenance routines, and coordinate with health and safety. Requires leadership, management experience, and ability to work in extreme weather.

Qualifications

• Strong management, communication, leadership and team building skills; skiing/riding ability; ability to work in extreme weather (winter/summer).
• Strong guest service focus experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Supervisory or managerial experience.
• Positive, solutions-oriented leadership.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Workday/Guest Connect.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and administration of our Lift Experience team to produce an exceptional guest and employee experience.
• Coach and motivate to ensure employees are aligned with Vail Resorts goals, values, and core competencies.
• Maintain an “expert level” status of lift experience functions, proactive with industry trends.
• Lead safety improvement efforts in mountain operations; coordinate with Health & Safety.
• Prioritize and adapt in a changing business and environmental setting.
• Build strong relationships with key managers outside the direct reports scope.
• Oversee and perform preventive maintenance activities
• Develop maintenance routines and procedures
• Manage projects assigned by the Manager & Director of Mountain Operations
• Responsible for hiring, training, and development of Lift Experience personnel
• Ensure records and procedures are maintained per regulations.
