Job summary

Vail Resorts Keystone Mountain Operations is seeking a motivated Lift Experience Lead to drive daily operations, champion safety, and lead a front-line Lift Experience Team. This role blends leadership with hands-on coaching to ensure exceptional guest experiences and high team morale.

The successful candidate will train new staff, reinforce standards, and collaborate with Supervisors to optimize operations. A passion for mountain operations and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years of lift or mountain operations experience is required.
• Must be physically capable of assisting guests while loading lifts; may lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of inclement weather, standing and moving for entire shift on potentially slippery or uneven surfaces.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a leader and role model for the front-line Lift Experience Team.
• Support daily lift operations with a focus on safety, guest service, and team performance.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members throughout the day with support from the leadership team.
• Assist with training new and returning employees.
• Reinforce department policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Support staffing assignments, break rotations, and daily operational needs.
• Respond to guest concerns and help resolve day-to-day operational challenges.
• Provide observations and feedback to Supervisors regarding team performance and development.
• Promote employee engagement, accountability, and a positive team culture.
• Support pass and ticket troubleshooting efforts and communicate with Hotseat as needed.
• Assist Scanning operations during periods of business need and support department-wide priorities.
• Ensure completion and complete operational documentation, inspections, and reporting as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with all company, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned
