Job summary

YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown is seeking part-time Lifeguards to join our energetic aquatics team. We offer training for qualified candidates with potential job offer upon certification completion. Flexible shifts include early mornings, days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends.

Responsibilities include monitoring the pool, enforcing rules, responding to emergencies, and maintaining safety checks and incident reports. Join a mission-driven team and contribute to a safer, healthier community.

Qualifications

• Certified Lifeguard required.
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• AED and First Aid certifications.
• Emergency Oxygen certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool area to ensure a safe and positive environment for all swimmers.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and perform water rescues as needed.
• Complete safety checks and maintain incident reports.
• Arrive on time and in proper uniform for every shift.
• Attend required trainings and in-service sessions.
• Arrange shift coverage when absent.

The YMCA Allard Center of Goffstown is looking for part-time Lifeguards to join our fun, energetic, and mission-driven aquatics team. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain leadership experience, build their resume, and contribute to a safer, healthier community. Don’t have a certification yet? No problem – we offer training for qualified candidates with possible job offer available upon certification completion! Flexible shifts offered throughout the week to include early mornings, daytimes, evenings, weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor pool area to ensure a safe and positive environment for all swimmers
• Enforce all pool rules and safety procedures
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and perform water rescues as needed
• Complete safety checks and maintain accurate incident reports
• Arrive on time and in proper uniform for every scheduled shift
• Attend required staff trainings and in-service sessions
• Find and report shift coverage in case of absence

Qualifications:

• Certified Lifeguard
• Certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, Emergency Oxygen
• Ability to stay alert and act calmly in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Must meet physical requirements of lifeguarding (swimming, endurance, etc.)
