Job summary

The YMCA of the North Shore is hiring for fall Aquatics team members. Whether you are already lifeguard certified or eager to learn, we offer a flexible schedule across our pools on the North Shore.

Earn competitive pay and gain valuable customer service and safety skills while helping members stay safe and active. We provide opportunities for free lifeguard certification for qualified applicants, paid training, and room to grow within Aquatics and the YMCA network.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 and current lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid certifications.
• Willingness to obtain certifications before starting; training opportunities may be available.
• Calm, confident with strong safety and detail orientation; team player.
• Availability for both weekday and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Help keep pools safe by actively monitoring swimmers and responding when needed.
• Create a welcoming, positive experience for members and program participants.
• Teach engaging swim lessons using the YMCA of the USA curriculum (for Swim Instructors).
• Participate in paid training, ongoing education, and team development opportunities.

Qualifications

• A calm, confident presence with strong attention to safety and detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Seeking availability for both weekday and weekend shifts.
