Job summary

The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette is hiring a part-time Lifeguard in Vancouver, WA. You will act as a first responder and perform rescues in and around the pool, ensuring member safety and enforcing pool rules.

You'll stay current through inservice training and drills, educate guests on safety, and serve as a positive role model for youths while upholding YMCA policies and standards. Must be 16+ and available for 12:00-16:00 shifts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Have or obtain Lifeguard and CPR/AED & First Aid certifications within 30 days.
• Pass written and physical assessment prior to duty.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and enforce pool rules.
• Certification/training available if not currently held.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a First Responder
• Using your training to perform rescues in and around the pool
• Keeping your skills fresh with Inservice Training and Drills
• Educating members/guests on pool rules and safety
• Being a positive role model for youths in your community
