The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a Lifeguard to supervise aquatic activities and ensure swimmer safety at our YMCA facilities. This role involves enforcing pool rules, responding to emergencies, and helping maintain clean, safe water environments.

Candidates should be at least 16, able to swim, and ideally possess lifeguard certification plus CPR/First Aid. Flexible scheduling includes part-time and full-time shifts with benefits in a community-focused nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age and able to swim.
• Prefer current lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certifications.

Responsabilités

• Enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.
• Administers first aid and CPR as needed to swimmers in distress.
• Inspects facilities and equipment for safety and cleanliness.
• Supervises pool cleaning and conducts water testing.
