Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking lifeguards who are 16 years or older and passionate about water safety. You will help keep all pool participants safe, demonstrate leadership, and communicate effectively with staff and members.

Qualifications

• Age 16+ required.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course.
• Strong swim skills and commitment to safety around water.

• Ensure safety and surveillance of all pool participants.
• Apply organizational safety procedures for pool deck and aquatic areas.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing.

What is needed for this job as our Lifeguard:

• Age 16+
