Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Lifeguard to help ensure the safety of all pool participants during early morning shifts. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about water safety and have strong swimming abilities.

A Red Cross Lifeguard certification (or the ability to obtain one) is required. Typical responsibilities include supervising the pool deck, following safety procedures, and keeping the area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Age 16+
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing
