Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking lifeguards aged 16+ to supervise pool areas, ensure swimmer safety, and promote a welcoming, safety-focused environment across YMCA facilities.

Required is American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (or ability to pass) and a passion for water safety and strong swimming. We offer flexible shifts and access to YMCA resources to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Age 16+
• American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to pass the course
• Passionate about safety around water and strong swim skills

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and surveillance of all pool participants
• Understanding and applying organizational safety procedures for the pool deck and aquatic areas
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of the pool deck, including skimming and brushing
