Job summary

Step Up is seeking a Life Skills/Activities Coordinator to work on-site at permanent supportive housing projects in Los Angeles, focusing on improving independent living skills and housing retention for Veterans. You will perform outreach, engagement, referrals, and linkage; coordinate care with HUD VASH and Property Management; model Housing First and Harm Reduction in service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with mentally ill population.
• Must have own transportation and a valid CA driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active calendar of supportive services including daily groups.
• Organize group outings and connect tenants to community resources.
• Coordinate care with HUD VASH case manager and Property Management staff.
• Provide on-site supportive services to support housing retention and engagement.
• Meet with tenants weekly and develop individualized service plans.
