Job summary

Step Up in Los Angeles seeks a VASH Director-level leader to oversee clinical and administrative functions for veteran supportive housing programs. You will establish cross‑agency partnerships, advocate for veterans, and supervise staff across multiple duties.

You will coordinate outreach, intake, treatment planning, and crisis response, ensuring documentation compliance and program success in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work or clinical degree and licensure in CA or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum two years of clinical and case management experience with veterans.
• Interest in working with homelessness and mental health issues.

Responsibilities

• Establish collaborative relationships to ensure veteran continuity of care with wrap-around services.
• Advocate for veterans to access needed services.
• Provide onboarding and training for VASH staff and assist with recruiting.
• Coordinate care, supervise staff, and manage program census.
• Ensure 24-hour on-call coverage and crisis intervention support.
• Oversee documentation, compliance with VA contracts, and EMR updates.
• Coordinate with leadership to track program census and maintain records.
