Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Mentor – Rayside in Hendersonville, NC. The role supports individuals with IDD in a residential setting, promoting personal outcomes and independence on three shifts.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, ensuring safety, reporting incidents, and helping participants engage in community activities. A valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid are required, with benefits and ongoing training offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Prefer experience working with IDD individuals.
• Least one year of experience working with the population served.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (necessary for employment) including personal vehicle insurance.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certification, Med Tech and NCI certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with ensuring staff coverage of all three shifts as scheduled by Residential Team Leader or as needed.
• Assist people supported to identify personal outcomes and supports needed to realize them.
• Promote goals, dignity, respect, and quality of life for people supported.
• Provide opportunities for choice and autonomy in daily living and environment.
• Report all incidents of abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately.
• Help maintain cleanliness of group home and facilities.
