Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Mentor to provide mentorship and coaching to Direct Support Employees in Ridgeley Oak. This full-time role supports people with disabilities in residential and day settings, guided by a person-centered plan.

Responsibilities include training staff, ensuring coverage across shifts, and promoting opportunities for personal outcomes. Requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license; CPR/First Aid certification is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or GED.
• Prefer experience working with IDD individuals.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
• Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification, Med Tech and NCI certifications and other core competency training as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist people supported to identify personal outcomes and supports needed to realize them.
• Support the Interdisciplinary Team in identifying supports needed for personal outcomes.
• Promote dignity, respect, and quality of life for people supported.
• Provide opportunities for choice and encourage independence.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the home and vehicle environments.
• Assist with activities of daily living and community participation as able.
• Support in preparing food and maintaining residences and program areas.
