Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Parlin, NJ 08859 for one-to-one support with an adult who has developmental disabilities. The role focuses on building confidence, routines, social skills, and independence.

Schedule: Mondays 3:00 PM–5:00 PM, Wednesdays and Fridays 3:00 PM–6:00 PM. Pay: $18–$21 per hour. Driving on shift is required, and onboarding/background checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Dependable, engaging, patient and able to build rapport.
• Experience mentoring/coaching/education or caregiving is a plus.
• Able to commit reliably to the exact schedule.
• Vehicle required.
• Must complete onboarding, background checks and training.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recreation, exercise, errands, events, hobbies, and volunteering with the individual.
• Coach daily living, communication, social, and independence skills.
• Help establish positive routines and work toward individualized goals.
• Model problem-solving, appropriate communication, and healthy community participation.
• Support decision-making, self-advocacy, and confidence.
• Provide companionship and a consistent mentoring relationship.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation and stay in close communication with the Kindly team.
