FBT Gibbons LLP, a national law firm serving middle‑market companies, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive revenue for Life Sciences teams and related IP and DDAT practices. The role collaborates with Practice Groups, Industry Teams, and firm leadership to create and implement growth strategies.

The ideal candidate brings life sciences market insight, 5+ years in B2B/professional services, and strong leadership, planning, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or other relevant field.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in a B2B, professional services or legal setting.
• Experience in life sciences industry preferred.
• Strong strategic planning and development skills, with leadership ability.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee business development for Life Sciences Industry Team and related practices; consult with leaders and executives.
• Collaborate with the BDD/CBDO on strategic initiatives and leadership functions.
• Coordinate with Directors of Practice Services and Department Chairs on performance and new offerings.
• Drive and administer support for Industry Team and Practice Group pursuits.
• Develop and execute tactics for client engagement, cross‑servicing, RFPs, and pitches.
• Manage and mentor BDAs/BDCs and ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• Partner with Marketing, Finance, Data & Innovation, IS, DEI&B, and other departments on initiatives.
• Contribute to leadership functions, process development, and resource planning.
• Develop insights on industry trends and outreach opportunities.
