Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking an Audit Managing Director to lead engagement teams serving middle-market Life Sciences clients. You will mentor staff, oversee fieldwork quality, and deliver insightful financial guidance.

The role offers enterprise growth, leadership development, and cross-service collaboration across Baker Tilly's network. You will work closely with firm leadership to grow the practice and drive client value, while maintaining high standards of client service and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA required.
• 5+ years’ experience providing financial statement auditing services in life sciences desired.
• 3+ years’ of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates desirable.
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing assurance and consulting services to industry-specific clients, impacting financial statements and operations.
• Proactively engage with clients to understand goals and challenges.
• Develop and implement testing to assess deficiencies of internal controls and provide improvements.
• Manage all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely delivery of results.
• Deliver business insights and financial guidance based on testing and information gathered.
• Oversee engagement staffing, billing/collections, and client profitability targets.
• Support growth of Baker Tilly's Life Sciences practice by cross-selling and building client relationships.
