Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking an Audit Managing Director to lead engagement teams for middle-market clients, delivering industry-focused audit and other assurance services. You will work with firm leadership to serve clients and grow the practice, while mentoring staff.

You will build client relationships, manage fieldwork, and contribute to strategic growth, with autonomy over scheduling and professional development opportunities within a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (masters/desirable).
• CPA required.
• 5+ years’ experience in financial statement auditing in a professional services firm (life sciences/tech/manufacturing preferred).
• 3+ years’ supervisory experience; mentoring/counseling desired.

Responsibilities

• Be a trusted member of the engagement team providing assurance and consulting services to industry clients.
• Proactively engage with clients to understand goals and challenges.
• Develop testing to assess internal controls and suggest improvements.
• Manage all fieldwork to ensure quality service and timely results.
• Provide financial statement guidance and business recommendations based on testing.
