Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Manager in Sunnyvale to lead a team responsible for operating and maintaining a portfolio of buildings. You’ll oversee daily activities, coordinate repairs, and manage budgets and capital projects to ensure reliable performance.

You will supervise staff, conduct evaluations, and mentor colleagues while partnering with clients to uphold high service standards and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license required
• Facility Management certification preferred
• Experience in staffing, development, coaching, and performance management

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees.
• Monitor the training and development of staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
• Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Schedule and manage the team’s daily activities.
• Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
• Set and track staff and department deadlines.
• Mentor and coach as needed.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections quality assurance following regulations.
• Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
• Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
• Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures.
• Review price quotes for procurement of parts, services, and labor.
• Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
