Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Engineering Operations Director in Sunnyvale to lead a team responsible for the performance of MEP systems and quality control across properties. You will steer operating budgets, hire and supervise staff, and drive cross-functional improvements to ensure reliable facility operations.

The role requires an Engineering degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in staffing, training, coaching, mentoring, measuring and rewarding performance.
• Ability to lead exchange of sensitive or complex information and set clear performance expectations.
• Leadership to drive targets across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a business unit's financial performance.
• Approve hiring contractors and sub-contractors and manage bid procedures when needed.
• Direct daily operation of facility controls and asset management systems.
• Approve annual operating budgets and supervise staff performance and development.
• Coordinate team activities, set schedules, mentor staff, and ensure deadlines.
