Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary in the USA, is hiring a Medical Support Specialist in the Kennesaw, GA center. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor reactions, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings, under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You must be licensed or certified in GA (EMT-B/A/I/Paramedic, LPN/LVN, or RN) with CPR/AED, plus two years of clinical experience and FDA-mandated training.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in GA (EMT-B/A/I/Paramedic, LPN/LVN, or RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, physical examination, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS for investigations.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
