Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in a clinical setting. The role focuses on donor eligibility, consent, and maintaining safety protocols.

You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review SPE results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician. Strong regulatory knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• State licensure in responsible field (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN or RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility and consent process per SOPs.
• Manage donor adverse events and transport as needed.
• Review laboratory test results and SOP-guided actions.
• Provide donor notifications for unsuitable test results.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health processes.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues.
