Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP is seeking a Medical Support Specialist at a Florida plasma center. You determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage donor adverse events, and work under the Center Manager and Center Physician for medical guidance.

You will support vaccination programs, incident management and EHS guidance, leveraging regulatory knowledge of plasma collection to ensure donor and worker safety.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the state of responsibility (EMT/PN/RN).
• Must complete FDA BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years clinical or hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history, physical exam and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical/technical guidance.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health processes.
• Handle incident management and EHS guidance as needed.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B)

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A)

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-I)

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-P)

Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)

Registered Nurse (RN)

CPR and AED certification

Basic IV therapy competency

FDA training requirements completion

Two years clinical or hospital experience
