Job summary

Donor Network West is seeking a Donation Coordinator I to receive donor referrals, screen potential donors, and coordinate cases with hospitals, recovery staff, and processing partners.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, document thoroughly in iTransplant, and support families through compassionate donation discussions, with opportunities to progress to the Donation Coordinator II role.

Qualifications

• Requires basic knowledge of disease processes and related conditions.
• Ability to maneuver multiple computer programs simultaneously for long periods.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills with hospital staff, funeral homes, medical examiners/coroners, and partners.
• Ability to think critically, solve problems, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, prioritization, and collaboration with staff.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process inbound referral calls and emails from hospitals and related offices.
• Document referral details in iTransplant (iTX) accurately for case progression.
• Conduct preliminary medical screening per FDA, AATB, and DNWest guidelines.
• Coordinate donation processes between operations, recovery teams, logistics, hospitals, and partners.
• Conduct donation discussions with families to obtain authorization.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and complete LMS trainings.
