The candidate must be 18+, hold a HS diploma or GED, be fluent in English, pass background checks, and pursue DPSST certifications within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Must speak, write and understand English clearly and fluently.
• Must distinguish colors for CAD system.
• Must obtain DPSST Basic Telecommunications and Emergency Medical Dispatch within 18 months of hire (funded).
• Must attain LEDS certification; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls, determine nature and location of events.
• Dispatch appropriate emergency services via public safety radio.
• Maintain accurate call records and coordinate responses with other agencies; work 24/7 shifts.
