Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Service Technician II focused on Life Safety Services within the Fire Alarm Projects Group. You will install, inspect, test and maintain life safety systems for established customers on a scheduled basis.

Responsibilities include servicing Life Safety Systems, providing excellent customer support, and ensuring accurate documentation for invoicing and compliance with NFPA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 certifications in a fire protection related field.
• Fire Alarm experience preferred (2–4 years).
• Notifier programming experience (N-16, NFS 320, 640, 3030).
• Suppression license preferred.
• WBS Construction experience (2–4 years) is a plus.
• Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant experience in installation/maintenance of Life Safety Systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service calls and on-site testing/inspections.
• Test and maintain Life Safety Systems per prescribed standards.
• Troubleshoot life safety systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Prepare accurate Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports.
• Install Life Safety Systems and related equipment.
• Provide customer service for installation/ITM activities.
• Ensure testing/repair documentation is complete and invoicing-ready.
• Maintain required documentation for customers upon servicing equipment.
• Adhere to OSHA, NFPA, and state regulations; uphold safety practices.
• Assist in shipping/receiving and equipment asset handling.
• Maintain/renew certifications and licenses; support team with training.
