Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in life safety and building systems, seeks an inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on sprinkler and related life-safety product lines in the Texas operation.

You will document deficiencies, communicate with devices, follow a structured schedule, and assist with installation and minor repairs, including lifting up to 70 lbs and working in challenging positions.

Qualifications

• Experience with sprinkler systems preferred.
• RME-1 license required or in process.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Proficient with hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Physically able to carry and move equipment up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and testing of life safety systems.
• Document deficiencies and complete service acknowledgements.
• Follow scheduled inspections and carry out minor repairs.
• Assume physical tasks including moving equipment up to 70 lbs.
