Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is hiring for Inspection Technicians specialized in life safety sprinkler systems.

You will perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on life safety product lines, while documenting deficiencies and ensuring proper coding. The role requires 4+ years of sprinkler experience, ability to read blueprints, operate tools including multi-meters, and the capacity for physical labor up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses required by codes.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service and maintain life safety sprinkler systems and related lines.
• Accurately document deficiencies and ensure proper coding during inspections.
• Follow structured inspection schedules and complete inspections on time.
• Perform minor repairs and programming changes on inspected systems.
• Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor as needed.
• Assist foreman with installation of wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems.
